Mani Monday: Bright Blue Summer Nails with Review on Past Polish

Hey Lovelies!

This week I will be venturing off down the shore for vacation and wanted to try some of neon colors, since I do not have to worry about being in an appropriate work setting. I settled on “Brisk Blue” by Sally Hansen and I only used one coat! I’ll let you know how this holds up in a beach atmosphere for the week.

Last Week: I was wearing “Pink” by Juicy Couture, which was a metallic finish. This polish wore beautifully for about 5 whole days. The metallic shine never faded and the brush applicator was surprisingly easy to work with for being such a fine brush. The polish was forgiving enough to correct any mistakes, but also dried fairly quickly. It did chip on the 6th day on my usual two fingers and was starting to chip on a third. For a high end polish, I would have expected at least another day of wear before chipping.

Final Grade: 8/10

Mani Monday: (Before and After) Iridescent Pink Nails With Review on Past Polish

This week I chose a bright iridescent purple-pink color from Juicy Couture that I received in a set from Sephora. It is a duo nail bottle with the color “Pink” on one side and the color “Black” on the other. This is supposed to mirror the Juicy Couture perfume and Juicy Noir perfume, which were also included in the set.

 

Last week I was wearing “I Love Applause” by O.P.I, which was a bright nude pink. I really enjoyed how this color applied and it held up pretty well throughout the 8 days. I chipped on two fingers and it was pretty significant, albeit I was doing a lot of manual labor moving, but it did chip pretty badly on my right hand. Another thing I noticed was the transparency was very prevalent. For some reason, only a few fingers needed a 3rd coat, so I don’t know if that could be attributed to how I applied it. Also, I noticed that it scuffed very easily, even though I used a top coat. All in all, I enjoyed this color more than the formula. It did dry pretty quickly, which is a plus.

Final Grade: 7/10
