Hey Lovelies!

I finally had a chance to wear Too Faced’s new lipstick in “Melted Violet” and I LOVE IT. I am definitely repurchasing this in the other colors available. The formula is buttery and smooth, but it is not runny. It is very opaque and requires maybe 1-2 layers for full intensity. If you would wish to layer it up more, this lipstick does not crease or settle awkwardly on your lips. In terms of application, it is seamless. At first, I didn’t think I would like the sponge-tip applicator because I thought it wouldn’t release enough product-due to to it being soaked up by the sponge. However, the applicator allows you to layer the product precisely and does not over dispense. All in all, this is a beautiful color and a beautiful formula that lasted me about 6-8 hours. I reapplied once and also ate a meal and it was still on.

Overall Rating: 10/10

With so many expensive balms out there, i.e Christian Dior’s Creme De Rose or Bite Beauty’s Agave Lip Mask, I wanted to provide a cheaper alternative that still provided hydration. It is very emollient, providing a smooth application and it has a cooling sensation for chapped or sunburned lips. It provides hydration and a soothing comfort that lasts about 2-3 hours. I find myself reapplying about 2-3 times a day. I will say that this product is better used on lips that are already exfoliated because it will sink in easily. Available in 5 different scents, you can easily find a new favorite. Specifically the Grapefruit & Ginger scent is not heavily concentrated with citrus, nor is it overpowering. I personally do not smell the Ginger, but I imagine that is what is toning down the Grapefruit. It smells fresh, with a touch of tang. The applicator is a plastic angled applicator, from which the product is being dispensed. I personally use my finger to massage it in for a better effect. For the price, this is definitely a great alternative to higher end lip balms.
